Today we learned about the Waimangu Volcanic Valley and Māori culture. At the Waimangu Volcanic Valley, we saw geothermal activity and the history of the valley. The energy provided by the geothermal activity can provide sustainable energy for many people to live off of. The Māori cultural experience was amazing and using medicinal techniques and methods to heal the body is using the earth and its resources responsibly. The Māori culture has a deep respect for the earth and the sustainability of the planet.
