Today we visited the Tourism industry in Aotearoa. We learned about how they are working to help businesses with sustainability and eventually walk down the path of Regenerative practices netting positives for the whole of society. The organization is a trust that works to help set industry-level agendas helping both those member companies funding them and working with govt for change within policy. The Tourism industry in Aotearoa looks at the issue of sustainability through the lens of the economy, the visitor, the community, and the environment using these four perspectives to guide their advice and practices. The organization also works to incorporate and honor Maori practices, such as greetings and parting words. After visiting the Tourism Industry in Aotearoa, I went back to the hotel and worked with my group on our digital story. We made good progress and have a solid plan for our project and its execution. Overall, although there wasn’t much site seeing, and I don’t have many photos to share, today was very productive. Here is a link again to the Google Photos Album for anyone who reads this blog and wants to see the photos from the trip so far. Thanks! https://photos.app.goo.gl/MxCj3RpHb7MCw5Hq8
