Sustainability Trust

We toured the sustainability trust today. The sustainability trust has created multiple different programs with the goal of helping the public be more sustainable. For example, they hold repair workshops so that items are repaired and usable again instead of the items going to a landfill. Another project they do is repurposing donated fabric into two layer curtains. These curtains can help provide extra insulation which in turn reduces energy waste for heating and cooling. I think that the sustainability trust has really great and innovative projects going on. If every city had something similar to the Sustainability Trust, items would have a longer life and therefore waste could be diverted from landfills.
