Today we took a ferry to Waiheke Island, which is in the Hauraki Gulf just off the north island of New Zealand! We then stopped at the port and I got some hot coco because it was chilly 🙂 After the yummy hot coco we helped in planting some trees in the wet lands of the island. I plated two trees that I gave some word of encouragement to grow big and strong. We then made our way to Mudbrick to learn more about sustainability in the vineyard and how they grow grapes on this island! There was a wine tasting involved on this trip, so I could not refuse! Next, we had lunch on the vineyard where I had salmon and potatoes and afterwards a chocolatey dessert to finish! We then headed on a bus that showed us the best view on the Waiheke Island! Afterwards, we headed back to auckland where I bought some postcards to send to family and friends! Overall, it was a long but good day!
