When it comes to healthy homes, helping people to reduce their impact on the environment and giving back to the community sustainability trust does exactly that.
They focus on many projects and lots of them include up-cycling. Their curtain bank up-cycles used or unused (donated) fabric and gives them to low-income families in the Wellington Region.
Although they up-cycle curtains for homes, they have to have strict requirements about what they can accept.
Most projects are only ongoing based on funding. But their main projects like e-waste recycling and curtain banks have remained stable due to higher demand in donations and volunteers.
This organization inspired me to go back home and do beach cleanups or start a up-cycling workshop non-profit in the future.
