Hello, my name is Ayesha Shaikh, and I am a professor of psychological sciences at Whittier College. I’m excited to visit New Zealand for the first time on this trip as I support Professor Fissore and the students as they learn about Environmental Sustainability. I am also working during this trip on developing a future faculty-led travel course to New Zealand focusing on historical/cultural trauma and cultural revitalization and resilience of the Māori people. I spend most of my free time with my husband, Michael, and my daughter, Maya. We all love to travel and we enjoy exploring new places and cultures!
