TIA blog

The TIA was Greta to visit today. I thought it was interesting that they incorporate all sectors of the tourism industry into one sort of business. I liked that they incorporated the Māori culture into their business. It showed that they weren’t only striving to be environmentally sustainable but also socially sustainable. In the building they had plaques with Māori language around and they mentioned they had someone on their board that is Maori. This gives the Māori people a voice in the tourism industry. Also I enjoyed that they had a worm farm as well. This just further shows that they are looking to being more environmentally sustainable in every possible way.
