Today we got to sit down with directors at TIA which was highly informative and gave us a great insight into the goals and challenges of the tourism industry in New Zealand. It was great to talk and ask questions to learn in further details how the industry has grown over the last decade to adapt to out worlds issues. Whenever ilI hear sustainability I automatically think of environmentally related practices but they reminded me that there are many other sectors of buisness that are being strived to be more sustainability.
We also took a short hike up Mt. victoria at sunset. The view was amazing and it was also intresting to learn some breif history of the “Artic Agreement “ that signed nations into agreement to not dispose of toxic waste and disrupt antartica.
