Today was alot of information. It was super educating and intresting to hear the didferent ways sustainability can be achieved, and they most common struggles organizations aspiring to be sustainable encounter. I think the thing that stood out to me the most is that people who provide there own energy (through some sort of renewable resource) are more likely to “tirn the lights off.” Meaning that when you get people to put skin in the game they will in turn make decisions to limit there resource use. Often times we are so disconnected with what we are actually using or purchasing that we forget that everything we use comes from something and that we just pay the bills and call it good. This capitalist path gas led us to we are today, and we must find it within ourselves to make daily decisions that do not leave consequences for future generations.
it was also very interesting to evaluate you 17 sdgs and make connections between all of them. The professors view on them was a great perspective to hear and is always great to hear what a professional has to say. I also loved hearing about the tree planting project and the way they approached restoring a habitat. Overall it was a long day, but it was very informative and I learned alot
