Māori Village

During our visit and dinner with the local Māori tribe we had dinner and we’re able to ask many questions to the Chief. One thing we discussed was how sustainability coincides with their beliefs. He talked about not taking more from the earth than you need in the moment and how this relates to the use of geo thermal energy, hunting, and fishing. We also discussed how the Māori are effected by the local government and how this relates to ownership of their land.
