Sanford Fishing

Today we met with the manager of sustainability at Sanford Fishing. During this visit we were able to see the production line and how fish are processed to be sold. We also saw the area where the Sanford Fishing company sells their fish. I thought that the companies plan for climate change and how they are transitioning some of their practices to adjust to climate change was interesting. I would like to have heard more about what the company is doing to protect the orange roughy. I am still not completely convinced that all of their fishing practices are sustainable being that they use trolling and that they were found bottom trolling in protected areas in 2021.
