Today we went to the Skycity hotel to learn a little bit more about the sustainability within the hotel community! We met with Anthony who was brilliant and aided us in learning a little bit more about Auckland! He gave us great intel about the hotel business and how they maintain their sustainability. Then Hannah and I went to the local supermarket to go pick up some things as well as walk around the city of Auckland for a little bit and window shopped! We ended up trying the local McDonalds down the street and it was pretty good! I tried the McChicken with fries and a drink called L&P Which stands for Lemond and Paeroa Which is basically just lemon and carbonated mineral water. It was a bit of a shock ordering with a screen instead of a cashier and seeing NO plastic straws! New Zealand is saving the Turtles one straw at a time and I have to say their paper straws are better! Also, Yesterday we went to this really great restraunt where I had grilled chicken, Rice, and Pita bread! It was truly delicious! Well enough of my rant today! See you all tomorrow!
